Born in London, Mr. Ellis trained firstly at Seevic-College in Essex where he worked under the tutelage of Steven Dowson. After graduating from the school in 2006 Mr. Ellis applied and was accepted to study at the prestigious Angel Academy of Art in Florence, Italy.

At the academy he studied under the well known painters Michael John Angel (student of acclaimed artist Pietro Annigoni) and Jered Woznicki. The academy is grounded on the ateliers of the 19th century which involves working extensively from the live model to produce figural and portrait work. Mr. Ellis also produced many cast and still life paintings while studying at the school and was selected each year for the popular annual exhibition.

Mr. Ellis is currently painting portraits and still life work, receiving commissions from companies and individuals. His work can be found in private and public collections throughout Europe.
